MANIFESTO
WUMA is an interdisciplinary design house founded on the belief that design is humanity's first universal language.
Established in 2026 by Chinese designer Wu Yizao and Brazilian architect Marina Brant, WUMA exists where cultures, disciplines, technologies and materials intersect. Our work moves freely between jewellery, furniture, objects, lighting, sculpture and spatial experiences, refusing traditional boundaries in favour of continuous exploration.
Our name represents more than the union of two creators. It embodies growth without limits: a practice that evolves through curiosity, experimentation and collaboration.
Every collection begins with an unexpected conversation. A taste remembered from childhood. A rhythm carried across continents. The geometry hidden inside nature. The texture of stone. The movement of sound. These intangible experiences become parameters, algorithms, sketches and prototypes before taking physical form through digital fabrication and exceptional craftsmanship.
We do not separate technology from tradition. Algorithms become tools for emotion. Parametric systems reveal organic beauty. 3D printing meets hand-finishing. Marble carries invisible frequencies. Jewelry becomes ritual. Objects become experiences.
Our work is not defined by a single material or aesthetic, but by a way of thinking. Every piece explores the relationship between precision and intuition, permanence and transformation, utility and poetry.
For us, design is more than the creation of objects. It is a way of translating cultures into forms, senses into matter, and ideas into experiences that can be understood beyond language.
Because while words belong to nations, design belongs to everyone.

OUR CORE THESIS
DESIGN IS A UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE

LOGO
The WUMA logo is composed of six triangles that form three hourglass shapes, while its lines simultaneously echo the letters of “WUMA.” The hourglass symbolizes time, while the triangle represents both infinity and stability. Interlocking in a continuous cycle, the six triangles create a visual structure that is both open and complete - reflecting WUMA's creative philosophy: to pursue infinite spiritual expansion within the finite material world.
WUMA creates parameter-driven 3D-printed objects. We see algorithms as a rule of growth rather than a cold tool. Each piece is not a predetermined static form, but a moment of growth - naturally generated and frozen within a digital landscape. Between rationality and intuition, digital fabrication and craftsmanship, precision and chance, WUMA seeks an organic balance.
